Kehillot - Learning Communities
Our programs are structured around learning communities that allow students to learn from one another, see where their learning is going, serve as mentors and role models, and allow teachers to collaborate with one another.
A multi-age learning community is not the same as a multi-grade learning community where students are still taught as separate grade levels even though they are in the same cohort. Multi-age learning communities use flexible grouping and differentiate instruction according to each child’s needs without distinguishing students by grade level.
At Temple Sinai we have four קהילות kehillot-learning communities:

What We Learn
Each month we celebrate a different "value-theme," highlighting both a vital Jewish value and a core Jewish idea connected to Torah, Jewish Living, Prayer or Jewish holidays.
These monthly themes are paired with a dynamic Hebrew program called Hebrew Through Movement for our younger children and Let's Learn Hebrew Together for our older kids.
As children grow toward Bar/Bat Mitzvah, their learning grows with them giving them the tools to make the most of their celebration and acquire skills that they can use throughout their lives as Jews.
Click on each "value-theme" to learn more or click here to take a deep dive into our learning goals.

You can continue learning even when the sun isn't shining in our online learning portal.
